Some snakey love, just in time for Valentine's Day. Double R (male blacktail rattlesnake) spent a couple weeks courting Porter (female) in summer 2013.

Or rather, hail. Porter, a female black-tailed rattlesnake, takes advantage of summer rain to get a drink, before getting caught in a storm.

A juvenile black-necked gartersnake has discovered a shallow pool hosting toad tadpoles. Watch him forage, capture and swallow little tads!

Molly, an Arizona black rattlesnake, retrieves a Gilbert's skink from the leaf litter. Presumably the skink dove into the leaves after being envenomated by the snake, making it a chore for Molly to find and retrieve.
